How to take photos inside stores and get away with it
Theres really only one good answer to this. What I always do is ask a sales associate if I can take a picture, and I tell them it’s for my blog. It helps to be overly friendly and perhaps flirty if it’s a guy. The worst they can say is no, but it’s better than actually getting caught.
Never attempt to take photo’s in really high end department stores such as Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms. I wouldn’t even ask a sales associate there if I could take a picture because I know that they would think I’m crazy and that they would never in a million years let me take a picture in the store.
But, stores such as Victoria’s Secret, Hollister, Sephora, Abercrombie, Forever 21, Charlotte Rusee, Lush etc, are more likely to let you if you actually do have the common courtesy to ask rather than sneak a few shots and have the shots come out crappy because you had to take them in a hurry.
If they do let you take a few photo’s, don’t go nuts with shooting every aspect of the store, I’ve noticed that when you ask a sales associate permission and they let you, that they tend to spy on you and watch your every move, so I usually limit the amount of photos i take to 5 or less, and I usually take photos of something that really peeks my interest.
A psychology study suggests that when you’re single, all you see are happy couples, and when you’re committed, all you see are happy singles.
